THE SOUND RIVIERA TODAY @ 2PM GMT

Current mood: RE-REWIND..
Category: RE-REWIND.. Music

The first episode of
The Sound Riviera is repeated today at 2pm UK time on ResonanceFM.

If you're in Central London you can hear it on 104.4 FM If you're not it's available for internet stream at www.resonancefm.com

Presented stumblingly by Dan Hayhurst AKA Sculpture and with poise by the towering talent that is Veronica Lavery, the show is about tapes....

Between documentary series and radiophonic collage, Blue Peter and The Faust Tapes, exists The Sound Riviera, a melange of tape recorders, tape music, sound effects, recycled found tapes, esoteric history, contemporary magnetic tape users and abusers, and technical instruction.

This first one is a relatively gentle introduction, with a bit of history and a bit of hairdressing.

LISTEN UP!!

It was good listening to Dan and Victoria with the odd interruptions as usual at work!! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series...

MARCUS LIKES JANE

This has got nothing to do with your blog Paul., but I am proud of my little brother so i like to advertise his achievements. He and his mate were DJs on Resonance when it very first started. They were only twelve (Ash Hunter and Paul Woody). They gave it up after a year, a year and a half max, because they thought it was boring and less fun than cars and skateboarding. They did have pretty advance record collections though, but only because they had misfits as older borothers.

I digress, your blog is ace.

As one of there regular listeners may I say the shows were very entertaining with some good tales between songs from the lads! I hope they get back to DJ work when they need to be bored some more!!
