In a statement released 16.23hrs GMT Tuesday, Mr Giovanni is quoted as saying: 'As many of you will know, my beloved Bass and I have travelled a wierd and winding path through a number of musical projects, over many happy years. But the pressure of age and a distinct lack of defineable reults has sapped morale, and put immense strain on the both of us. We therefore figured that now was the correct time to write a new page in both of our lives.... Of course this has been one of the hardest decisions that we've ever made in our sorry little lives, but after consulting close family and friends, we've decided it's now time for me and the bass to go our seperate ways, pursue new projects and broader horizons... I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my Bass and all the cables I've plugged into it for the years of hard work and wish my old instrument every success in it's new career as a garden ornament...." 	KvKvG	Devil 42! you are a fool if you give up your bass...its a nice looking bass. you cant just turn yuor back on a instrument! and rule of thum dictates that as soon as you get rid, you will get an offer to play in the next best band in the world. (of course if you hold on to it, you'll never get the offer, but at least you have the bass to sooth your sorrows) you might as well bag up a puppy and kick it in a cannel. same diffrence.
