AND I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF....

Current mood: SWEATING IN THE MOUNTAINS
Category: SWEATING IN THE MOUNTAINS Music

but to post this vid from 2004

It's not nearly so visual (the boys even seem to smile), but it's a brilliant track, it's the Tour, AND most importantly I finally have a comeback album (5 years or more) to recommend....

'In August 2003, the band finally released Tour de France Soundtracks, its first album of new material since 1986's Electric Café.'

A 17 year gap!!

You can listen to the whole thing + visuals on the
Kraftwerk Website.

But the question is, did Kraftwerk ever really split up???

: THE FUTUREPROOF MUSIC BLOG BY PIOUS GIOVANNI :

'An avid cyclist, Ralf Hütter was involved in a cycling accident in 1983, during the initial period of recording of the since abandoned album Techno Pop.[citation needed] Only the single "Tour de France" and demos of "Techno Pop" and "Sex Object" would find their way into bootleg releases after this accident. He was in the hospital for many months, and Karl Bartos stated the first thing he said when he awoke from his coma was "Where is my bicycle?"[citation needed]

: THE FUTUREPROOF MUSIC BLOG BY PIOUS GIOVANNI :

Contador is a good tough boy. The first i saw of him was a stage win in the 2005 Tour Down Under just after he'd returned from the large brain blood clot that almost ended his life...

From what i can work out, to get to the very top in cycling, it helps a great deal to have suffered some serious medical trauma along the way and Contador has already had a few....

I think this years race is still wide open anyway. I can't see Cadel doing it now, but i wouldn't rule out Contador at all....
