FOOT ON THE GAS???

Current mood: STATS...
Category: STATS... Music

The readership of the Futureproof Musicblog is forever changing.

In the last 11 months, more than 400 have subscribed - some for hours, and some very much longer..

This frequent fluctuation in numbers can be difficult to predict, but sometimes I know I'm onto a hiding. Yes boss, every now and then, as I'm writing, I think, this one'll ruffle a gander and more often than not it does...

One such blog was the one a few days back about how I'd wished I'd run Thom Yorke into the tarmac in 1998.

There goes 10 readers for DAMN SURE!! - but it's got to be done!!! I thought as I pressed 'post'

But, this time there was no loss. Indeed, I gained 3 fresh subbies in the 24 hours that followed...

So I'm wondering what this means??

Could it be considered to be a mandate to engage in a bout of alt.rock star car-nage?

I mean - SHOULD I GO BACK AND FINISH THE JOB??

Or was it all a wierd coincidence??

Dunno but your blogs always bring a smile to my face, even if you're completely wrong!

Leave Thom, theres more worthwhile candidates on your doorstep. Mr Ward for one. Wrap those chairs round his smug head....actually don't....they're quite nice chairs. Can I sit in them Sunday?

Shaynes having the inconvenience of a new part of the development being tacked onto his outside wall at the moment - so I'd imagine he'll be very easy to annoy...

Yes, you can certainly sit in the chairs but you have to bring something to add to them!

Each new person to sit in the chairs has to add something to their decoration so as to further increase there power...

Then you must add to his aggravation. Tell him you saw someone run off with his chairs. Tell him it was Winehouse and she sold them for more crack!

That should do it.

Winehouse is staked out - 2 or 3 photographers every night..

She's gone blonde...

Steve | Version Sound

can't worry about that. If people know your personality they'll know you're usually taking the piss. Plus people appreciate it when you utilize your freedom of speech. Its good to ruffle some feathers - get people to think outside their normal frame of mind. It's healthy....

Christopher Nosnibor

Im my experience, it's practically impossible to guage what will be a hit or get the comments flowing in (ok, so these things are relative). I thought my Harry Potter / JK Rowling rants might stoke a spot of controversy or something, or that the Russell Brand blow-out might have gained some attention, even if primarily from him and his fans telling me to fuck off and die, but while I wasn't quite deafened by the silence, there were definitely virtual tumbleweeds drifing across my screen. But beef about office parties or throw out a random ten-liner about calendars and suddenly people are interested and the hit counter starts moving. What can I say? Perhaps I simply know nothing about the market or my 'audience.' Oh well.

Keep talking like that, you're gonna make the poor guy paranoid, PG PoundSign. Then he'll crank out even more gloomy songs you can't stand.

LOL! It would make a good South Park type cartoon to have Giovanni stalking Thom whilst Clinker and Colossus try to save Thom.

Fuck...kill Kenny, kill Ward...leave Thom in peace!

Spider xx

Wendy

I wasn't online for about 3months and when i did eventually get the pc up and running again I was startled to find about 4pages of emails informing me that The Futureproof Music Blog by Pious Giovanni had posted a Blog on Myspace.

No offers of employment, no love-letters, no long lost relative's demise bequeathing me house and estate; just Myspace this, Pious Giovanni that, Blog the other.

It was annoying so I withdrew my subscription but still pop in for a perusal, like when i can't afford the NME and go into the newsagents to read it, nonchalantly avoiding the proprietor's vicious are-you-going-to-buy-that-or-wot-this-isn't-a-bloody-library stare.

So from my own personal experience it's not the actual content that's off-putting, it's all the periphery.

Try not to take it personally.

Wx.
