Going on the general level of response, I'd imagine you're getting quite tired of the political blogs that have been clogging up this 'ere BLINGER this last week or so...

Gone is the talk of 'Fuck Me Shoes' and pop stars casual drug habbits - in has come debates of 9/11 truth or dare and the unquestionable glory of the British Monarchy

I figure that perhaps you - like me, hate or don't wish to engage with politics and like to instead read about irrverent shit like music, to help you forget the nature of a world that deep down you know will never be changed..

Yes boss, for those of you who don't know, I gave up any belief the world could be saved in any fundamental way a good few years ago and I'm not about to do anything other than flirt with such an abstract ideas now and forever more...


However, just occasionally, I feel the need to respond to events on a purely spectacular/media level and this week has been just such a time..

Yes boss, to be perfectly frank - I've found the UK coverage of Prince Harry's return to be one of the most absurd and complete pieces of state proporganda in my lifetime..

Basically, this fucking dingbat who most likely isn't even Prince Charles's son is being widely and seriously acclaimed as being a hero day in day out in every 'FREE' newspaper and on every 'FREE' channel with a kind of naivety that's absolutely breathtaking - and for what???

FOR RUNNING AWAY FROM THE BATTLEFIELD AS SOON AS HIS LIFE BECAME ENDANGERED!!!

Yes boss, our great and FREE media's response, from left to right to this great act of cowardice, has been total and PURE PATRIOTIC PRIDE IN HARRYS EPIC ACHIEVEMENTS!!!

This response has done it's best to glorify war, the house of windsor and served to attempt recruit a new wave of imrpessionable young men to join the forces as well as to UNDERLINE the unquestionable importance of our apparently endless 'mission' in Afghanistan.

Hours and hundreds of pages of our alledgedly 'FREE' press has been full of this shit - it's suffocating and truly pre-punk in it's scale...

Yes boss, The Sex Pistols and the 2nd World War, clearly never happenned...

WE CLEARLY STILL LOVE OUR QUEEN AND HER ALLEDGED GRANDSON!!!!


So in auqiescent response to this fervour, I'll be posting no new blogs for one week apart from the National Anthem 3 times daily.

Yes boss, you know I'm not the sort that likes to rock the boat and I'd hate to disagree with this happy tide of state and war glorification that has enveloped this FREE, peaceful and democratic country this last week in response to Harry's epic and BRAVE achievement!!!!

Of course if you want a Giovanni fix, there's the whole searchable archive available on Blogspot, but there will be nothing NEW posted for a full week..

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!

	V Holeček	meh...it happens to everyone periodically. When I was younger and more reverent of things like the overall health of the political machine, I fancied myself quite the anarchist. 	Emily	It does irritate me intensely that a lot of my peers who have been sent to Iraq/Afghanistan have not only come back severely disabled, but also have been "rewarded" with crappy medical care and no job prospects, because most Americans believe that being at war = mental illness and instability. Yet this guy is lauded as a "hero" because he was there for 10 weeks, when most G.I.s are there for years. Anyway, what's the use of me bitching about it. It doesn't change things. 	simon	It feels me with intense distaste that anyone could not be singing from the songsheet that has been drilled into all our brains this week and even question what on earth we are doing in Iraq and Afghanistan in the first place. But to make out that Prince Harry is this all conquering hero trying to make sure those damned fuzzy wuzzies give back his families rightful possessions there entire countrues and worship Queen and Country like they should do. Oh and sorry I can't watch any youtube videos for the forseeable future as I am just beginning to listen to the new 28 cd Sun Ra boxset and it may take a while...... 	Baku Llama	Giovanni ... ya gotta have some sympathy for the kid. His Dad is a putz, His poor Mom was squeezed like a fuckin lemon until she was dead, and his granny the Queen has probably been squeezing his pink ass cheeks and saying "Stand up straight!!...One day Harry this will all be yours"! No wonder he says he hates his home. I'd like to get him over to my house to help me mow the lawn! Then when he was done with that he could help me change the oil on my old chevy.
