Right, I think I'm getting there on the shoes question, so it's now time to return to the more important plot of muuuusic.

Aptly named, Awesome Tapes From Africa sets about re-recording, promoting and making available a whole host of scarce Afircan recordings for all to download, learn and enjoy for absolutely nowt...
Such is the dedication here, that many of the tracks available and explained here have been re-sampled from cassette tapes and are the kind of golden jems you'd have to be proper tuned in to know about without this kind of a resource being put together out of a pure and beautiful love of the music...
Yes boss, for my badly dwindling money, this is the kind of thing the music internet was made for...
And whilst we're on the subject of Africa, how come that whole LIVE8 thing completely missed out on promoting African music??
I mean that day you got a rich bunch of mostly past it twats parading themselves and thinking they were cool in Hyde Park because they swore LIVE on TV!!!! But there was no African artists on the bill (excepting the one who went on to kidnap an African child and therefore claim nationality) and then there was that big old dunce of wealthy blood sucking cunts immediately circling the stage?!?
What was all that about??
Nevermind Annie Frigging Lennox or The Killers, Femi Kuti would have blown that thing to shit every which way...
