As I understand it, the Israelis believe they have an entitlement to some land and the Palestinians disagree VERY STRONGLY INDEED!!!

Both sides are absolutely pigheaded in the way they deal with the matter, so they live in an almost continual state of war, and occasionally it flares up and then it flares down again...


I suppose you have to wonder about the leadership on both sides, and you have to wonder why Hamas got elected, and you have to think that nothing short of leveling the whole fucking joint will start things afresh...

Or as an old friend of mine once told me:

'There's nothing that can be done about that one - it's deep in the rocks'


I'd imagine, the 'Disaster Porn' has been appalling cynical 'MORE VIOLENCE AT 11!!! NOW SPORT!!' - but I haven't seen much of it..

I did however notice the BBC has been digging out old dead comedians like Alexei Sayle & Paul Kaye to pontificate about how badly the Israelis are behaving.

Kaye and Sayle are probably right in their pontifications, but I think they should concentrate on their day jobs

And the initial timing of the Israelis was it's usually media savvy best...


However, perhaps THE most striking thing in the political response thus far, has been President 'Changes' silence on the matter...

Yes boss, Prince Obama is keeping very quiet on this one.

The word is he doesn't believe in there being 2 Presidents at once and he's therefore keeping stumm until his time comes...

He hasn't however kept picolo about the Credit Lunch or the Indian Massacres, or the bailout of the Big Car Companies, which makes me think he has nothing new or different to say than Bush...
