January is Silly News Season...
And this January is probably the silliest yet...
Yes boss, in the last few days, front page stories in UK papers have included the apparent aftermath of a UFO collision with a wind turbine, the news that a loner died in his own labyrinth of tunnels of rubbish and details of how one street in Gateshead hosts 69 members of the same family (in rural Italy this wouldn't be anything other than normal...)
Add onto this, all the financial apocalypse doom and gloom and one could be forgiven for thinking 2009 might in fact be the dawning of some kind of a chaos watershed..
Yes boss, since I was very young, I've been reading of the inevitable death of capitalism and the end of money...
Of course I used to only read such tripe in lowly read publications like Green Anarchist and Do Or Die!! & Class War!
But now allegedly 'esteemed' and well read publications like the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail are full of such 'news' as if it's always been indisputable scientific fact
It's truly wierd...
Just check this collection of gloom from the kind of people who as little as 6 months ago wouldn't have been anything other than died in the wool money men..
